Brochure design for the City of Espoo
Brochure design and character development commissioned by the City of Espoo in Finland.
The brochure gives an introduction to the basic art education services for children and teens provided by the city of Espoo. I designed the look and the layout for the brochure, which the client wanted to be fun and playful to make it appealing to kids.
I also designed and illustrated eight playful characters representing the eight areas of art education available in Espoo including dance, literature, visual art, crafts, architecture, circus, theatre and music.
I gave the characters a slightly anonymous look to avoid gender stereotyping and to create more openness around the idea of who the art education services are for.
